Drinking and grooming

Sunday Soup - thinking that it might be a good idea to make a pot of soup every Sunday. I made roasted pepper and tomato soup for tonight, using a recipe sent by another blipper. One of my favourite meals is tomato soup and toasted cheese, and I think this roasted pepper and tomato combination will become a fave too. I buy an organic one that we like, but I know this will be better - homemade anything always is. 
I went for a walk on one of my regular road routes, and it felt great not to have to worry about snow and ice. I did have to keep an eye out for slippery leaves and needles on the edge of the road and for potholes and cracks in the pavement. Not much traffic. We were in pea soup fog all morning and it cleared up briefly but has reappeared this afternoon. A bit cool and damp, but lovely to be outside enjoying harbour views as I walked. The swans and cygnet were close enough to shore for me to get some photos of them but too spread out for me to get all three in one. I've added another photo of the parents and one of the cygnet in the extras. It's growing quickly. I enjoy seeing them in the months that they spend here.
