Starling Murmuration

50,000 starlings in one huge murmuration swirling across the evening sky behind the village. They look like iron filings dancing in perfect synchronisation against a pale backcloth, which is an unsettling thought as then there must be someone behind, with a very large magnet.

If you can’t ascribe to that notion, its worth remarking that no-one’s come up with a better theory for, what is no doubt, one of the wonders of the world.
