Expedition!

We met up with one of Andy’s sisters and family in Richmond Park this morning. We left home in sunshine and arrived in a gloomy chilly London, not what we had expected. We had a bit of time to walk across the park and grab a hot cup of tea at Paws cafe before meeting up.

His sister had been for a swim in the lido but unfortunately the car her husband was using to collect her, had a brainstorm and locked with the dog in the car. So they’d had a stressful time getting a spare set of keys to release the dog and then meet up with us.

Anyway, it turned out well in the end. We got to speak face to face for the first time in over two years and the three dogs got to know each other. One of whom, Flora, is new to the family. Sadly she is blind but she was able to navigate herself very well, and she and Merlin seemed especially taken with each other.

Back home we had a quick cuppa before it was time for another dog walk so Merlin could have a run before dark.

Really good to have a change of scene and face to face conversation with family we’ve not seen for too long.
