Working the land
Its really good to see normal summer activity resuming. Although it's cold the ground is drying out and this field behind our house is being prepared for sowing. I think the winter crop has been scrapped.
Today Jane and I went for a 30 mile bike ride through the Vale of Evesham and we were really shocked to see the state of the crops. There were acres and acres of spoilt crops. I read today that for the first time this country is going to be a net importer of wheat - and I can believe it :-(
