It's a Beautiful Day Hey Hey
It wasn't actually, in so far as that the sun never rose all day.
It was grey when I got up for a pee, it was grey while I drank my coffee, it was grey when we set off for the Allotment.
the air was still and quiet.
I stood for a long time trying to figure out what was missing from my plot; and then I realised, it wasn't from my Plot - it was the plot next door, which Until last week, consisted of a fully enclosed cage - the full size of the plot.
How strange to see it all open and wide. We wandered round and sought out our old neighbour and found him moving into a new plot along side his dad. Another of our friends had also moved plots, and another had moved beside them.
It was all go, and in actual fact, despite my intial reluctance, I thoroughly enjoyed the three hours we spent.
I cleared all my beds (I left the Fennel, it was growing away happily, and the leeks) but we dug out and dug over everything else.
Si chopped back the raspberries, and plotted out new fencing to meet the gap left by our neighbours departure.
then it was home for a cuppa tea, and a snack and off into town for some shopping.
Dinner tonight, courtesy of Gousto (and me), was Satay Pork Rice with Pickled Cucumber and Radish Salad.
I am astonished at the amazing meals I am producing. Not quite astonished as Si ! He's loving it.
today was a GOOD day.
