Microclimate
I have always been amazed by the microclimate of our front garden. It is north-east facing and very much in the shade of our house. For eight months of the year it gets no direct sunshine at all. I am convinced that it is the coldest place in the whole of Worcestershire.
I have merged two pictures for today's blip, taken within a minute of each other. You can see that the back garden is almost clear of snow and basking in sunshine. You can believe that spring is upon us at last. The front garden on the other hand is still in the grip of winter. This snow fell nearly two weeks ago, and it will take a few mild days yet to see it off.
