Forbes Mausoleum

Falkirk in the sun today. This building took a bit of getting to: there was security for a 10k run (I'm visiting the towers), and then walking against the flow of runners to get into the woods. They were all cheery and didn't mind, as I stayed off their path (well, those that could speak).
The main is the only 'clean' section of the structure. Locals obviously use it as a night spot, and the graffiti is extensive (extras).
All the time I was there, I was buzzed by a pack of very fast moving huskies (or similar!), who swept by at great speed (extras). When I put my bag down, and shot in a crouched position, they came to say hello. Gorgeous dogs.
I find these types of structure fascinating. The thinking that the eventual occupants consider themselves above the common herd, and deserve such grandiose graves. The encroaching forest and the graffiti suggest that in a centuries time this will be a ruin, if that. Sad really.
