The Law is Watching You
We enjoyed the colonial architecture of the town of Hay in western NSW today. This is the courthouse, built in 1892, designed by the NSW Government Architect Walter Liberty Vernon.
I have blipped about WL Vernon before - he was the architect for the Ballina Post Office, now part of the Ballina court complex.
The extra is for Glasgow blippers. The Witcombe Memorial Fountain in the main street of Hay was installed in 1883, a gift to the town by the then Mayor John Witcombe. The cast iron fountain was made in Glasgow by Walter McFarlane and Co.
