2022 Saturday — Tsunami Lunch

It was after the time of the morning Tsunami from Tonga, that we read the announcement warning us about a soon arriving tsunami to California’s Central Coast; the warning explained that it would happen in the Bay of San Luis, which is the bay south of where we live. So we didn’t give the warning much thought.

Then we met Robin & Cynthia for lunch; Mr. Fun & I decided to split a hamburger and salad so we could also enjoy some strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Robin & Cynthia told us that the beaches here in the Estero Bay were definitely affected by a tsunami this morning.

Many people on Morro Bay social media posted about the tide/water current in the harbor & back bay — boats turned eight times within an hour because the tide kept changing direction.

After lunch, the two of us walked to the beach lookout to look at the shoreline. The tide was low and much sand was showing. Rain was beginning to fall so we started walking toward the house.
