Commotion in the ocean

The Pacific nation of Tonga has been hit badly by a tsunami today created by an underground volcano eruption. No lives reported lost yet but some impressive footage of the sea surge have been shown.

We have been put on alert here in the North Eastern parts of the country, not where I am thankfully.
A combination of the volcano and of a cyclone moving near NZ is not great.

I was near the beach today though and everything looked normal!!

Heading up to Auckland tomorrow.
