Ewan Bleach and his quintet at the Jazz Club

Ewan, (tenor sax, centre) having previously appeared at the club as part of Frog & Henry, brought his own band to the Club tonight. The programme featured a mixture of traditional and hot jazz mixed in with some of Ewan's  original compositions in the style of pre-war jazz and early American popular music. One of his songs he had played to his son, he told us, minutes after he was born in hospital last year. Ah!!!


The extra shows the measures taken to check the atmosphere in the club. Now that's a very 2020s innovation.
