Family photos

I'm busy scanning all the photos that my mum collected and collated some years ago as part of her research into our family history.

After scanning I'm sending them up into the Cloud for safekeeping. This may take some time.

I usually look on the back of the photos in case there are notes about the date or location they were taken.

Occasionally I've come across one taken by a professional photographer, some got printed as postcards for the sitter to send to relatives or friends (I guess). The photo on the other side of this one is a portrait of my grandfather and was likely taken during the 1930s. No idea why it was taken but lovely to have a copy.
