Southern White Faced Owl

We arranged for Jambs Owls (at Hall Place in Bexley) to come to our garden today for L’s birthday party.

They brought three owls with them, gave a little talk and everyone was able to hold the owls if they wanted to.

We kept it pretty simple - just six additional children and their grown ups. I pre-prepared hot chocolate and mulled wine in two slow cookers to combat the January weather. After all the owl stroking, we all enjoyed the owl cake that my friend made (see my blip a few days ago).

L had a ball. Hope she remembers it for years to come.
