If you can't beat them...

Robin ( Erithacus rubecula )

Well, in myself I feel as if I have got over the cold, apart from the blasted cough.  Going out into the cold air starts it off, as a result, I don't do that much.

So a bit of a lazy blip today, another bird.  Anyone who regularly looks at my journal will be used to that by now.  For me, this shot of the Robin is interesting, not for what you can see but what you can't.  As I was picking the camera up the Robin on the feeder flew away to the right of the picture.  Instantly it was replaced by this one from the left.

Somebody is thinking, what is interesting about that.  Well, Robins are very territorial and will defend a territory sometimes to the death.  The fact that there are two Robins close together but not fighting gives me hope that we will again this year have a breeding pair in the garden.
