Lovely but lethal
Walking the 4.5k to church today was lethal. It was an ice rink nearly all the way there. I appreciated afresh all the broken pavements and any rubbish surfaces because the absolute worst were the smooth red fancy paving stones on the posh Broad Walk. I was literally ice skating and it felt treacherous.
By mid afternoon, when I was walking back, it was patchy ice so still no striding out.
We had an online parents evening for NoaNoa - the first one of 6th form for him. It was a huge affirmation that he’d chosen the right A levels. They all commented on his enthusiasm but the big need for depth in all his written work. Ahhh. He loves to talk, not read and he needs to read and there’s no way round it.
