Today we drove over the elands pass from Braithewaite to Buttermere and had a lovely walk around Buttermere.
From there we drove back over the Honister pass which is my favourite. The views from the top are simply awesome. We stopped off at a beautiful hotel for coffee sitting outside, watching the chaffinches, tree creepers and nuthatches on the feeders feet from us.
Then on to the west side of Derwentwater - a road we hadn’t been along before, and stopped near the north end of the lake and walked down to the hands sculpture- a thing we do every time we come to Cumbria. There’s a pic of that in my extra collage. The main photo today is Derwentwater.
