Not a photo of a gannet.

I was counting on posting soaring gannets in flight over their nesting grounds or adults feeding their chicks but all I can offer is a photo of the debris that closed the beach and the access to the gannet sanctuary. Last night a large amount of the cliff face slipped and closed the beach. The remnants of Cyclone Cody, a major storm that has been giving Fiji a hard time is heading towards the East Coast of NZ. The heavy seas produced by this storm may clear the slip and open access to the sanctuary but not until Monday or Tuesday by which time we will be home. The weather forecast tonight said the sea swells could be 8 meters. Yikes, that is a very heavy sea.
