Landscape from 34,000 feet

Due to the consequences of an Eastbound flight, we spent pretty much the entire day onboard the plane to Hong Kong. Our plan for it to overlap with our kids' bedtime didn't quite pan out. Just as we had worried about, both of them found the entertainment system in front of them far too enticing. My control unit was broken so I was spared the temptation of watching Skyfall on a tiny screen.

Unfortunately, I didn't sleep too well either. This photograph was taken while flying over somewhere in Asia. Zooming in, it looks unlikely to me that these buildngs are still inhabited since everything out of the window looked so utterly bleak.
