Light on Lichen

Beautiful still sunlit morning again.  Touch of the overnight frost still showing in the shadows at the allotment when I walked Ginny.  She was really excited when a cat broke cover ahead of us on the track and then just 3 feet ahead of her a biggish fox,  alerted by the cat's dash from the bushes no doubt,  leapt straight across the track.  She was on her extended lead and attempted to head off in hot pursuit nearly dragging me through the gap where the fox had darted.  Then it was nose to the ground and into full tracking mode.  She is a true scent hound.
