Morning Glory

Wonderful start to the day.

Up early, frosty, misty, cold but not too cold. No wind. Peaceful and quiet.

Walking through the woods at Perton, South Staffs - sunrise through the mist and the trees.

Incredible.

Then a walk around the Upper Lake and Lower Lake to see what birds I could see. Loads of geese, ducks, seagulls and two pairs of swans. A delightful morning's entertainment.

Resting Hollie dog today, she has been limping, a bit concerned but what will be will be, apparently.

Had a fascinating phone call with a very nice man who is the current owner of a rare Daimler coupe that my late stepfather bought in the late 70's. Tracked him down through the Jaguar owners club. An absolutely wonderful conversation - the gentleman bought it from my stepfather 40 years ago and still runs it. Such a joy to know that the car I was a passenger in, travelling at 130+mph on the way home from a day out in the Cotswolds, is still going strong! Made my day.

Waiting now for Mrs I to get home from her parent caring duties and we can settle down to tea and mince pies.... Living the dream!
