The Demise of the Privet

Tony has been working hard on removing the privet which runs alongside the footpath past our garden.  He first planted twigs of privet from his Mum and Dad's garden when we purchased this bit of land next to our house many moons ago.  For many years it proved a cheap hedge but it has now served its purpose and becoming increasingly large, unwieldy and difficult to maintain.  So it will be eventually replaced by a wall of about thigh height.  This will mean better access and light to the rockery and mini meadow, if they survive the building process!!

The saga of the enormous picture continues with the photographer contacting me today to say that hopefully the very large box will be collected tomorrow and sent on its way to the parents/grandparents, and meanwhile he will get back to us about our Scottish landscape, fun and games but these things happen.

Don't even get me started about the latest Bozo carry on.  Is there any integrity left in the high echelons of politics these days?!
