Tarn Hows

We drove down to Yew tree tarn today with the intention to walk Holme Fell. It would have been another particularly boggy walk, however, we parked up, I went to the boot to get my walking boots out, and found I'd left them at home.

Fortunately I had a pair of walking trainers on, and although not suitable for our intended walk, we took a walk up to and round Tarn Hows. It was flat calm, and the lighting was wonderful. I had far too many pics to choose from, but decided on this view of the Tarn. - I did compose the shot to place the foreground tree between the reflections in the tarn.

Wandered into Coniston afterwards for a latte and a scone - all in all, my forgetting my boots still ended up as a glorious day.
