Cinema 4 - Sir Paul Smith

Titane
Went to see Titane last night, whilst it was still on at Broadway. ***** * rating for me, absolutely loved it, but would be very hesitant in recommending for most people. Very graphic sexual and disturbing images throughout, but I know I'll be pondering it's symbolism & messages for a day or two.

An incredible performance by Agathe Rousselle in a very original film. It's been likened to David Cronenbourg's Crash. A big fan of his I've not seen this film, but it certainly had parallels with Existenz.

I'd pre-booked a back row seat well away from other reservations, but quite a few students turned up too and a youngish couple in front and to the side of me.

I was less than impressed by at least 50% of people not wearing masks, but most put their masks on when leaving! - and the point is!!!

Screen 4
Sponsored by the Nottingham born designer Sir Paul Smith, the split sofa seats are covered in stripes very similar to his trademark pattern. His original shop in Nottingham closed a few years ago, so just the more recent grand townhouse based shop remains here.
