Locked Out

It was extremely cold today but we still wanted to get a short walk in. Locked the front door, went for a walk, came back and key would not open the door. We only take a front door key and a mail key when we walk. Wouldn’t turn even a little. We have been meaning to change the locks on this new to us house but other things have got in the way of us doing this. There are three outside doors and one from the garage to the kitchen. And there are four different keys for these doors. So, the front door key does not work on any other door. We can get into the garage via the code on the big door but we had locked the inside door. Called the locksmith who couldn’t come for over an hour so our daughter picked us up (didn’t even have the car keys) and brought us back later to meet the locksmith. He was able to drill out the garage inside door. Needless to say we will be carrying all keys from now on until we change everything. We did have a nice drive through the country to pick up our groceries before all this happened.  I drove for the first time in 7 weeks (since surgery). Felt good.
