Wonderful Woodland

A long chat with our neighbouring farmer this morning, lovely to catch up but even better to hear the farm's land plan for this year.... The wood behind us is to be fenced away from livestock and an area rewilded to connect it to the next woodland, roughly half a mile away. The aim is to make an area so rich for the red squirrels and the deer that they don't need to cross the road. Obviously I immediately offered to help.

The afternoon was taken over by day one of Leave No Trace instructor training, really inspiring and really really well delivered to a really diverse bunch of us.

Then this evening an oime induction, from which I'm blipping, so that tells you a little about how this one is going...
