It's a church

They've been building this thing for a long time and I know that the builders are considerate builders because they have a sign saying so.

There was another sign saying that what they were building was a community amenity. I don't know if the sign is still there but this is clearly a church (there's a huge cross on one of the sides you can't see) and I'm not sure that it's an amenity for people in the community who aren't Christian, but who knows.

Anyway, it was the butchered tree that caught my attention. I wondered why it needed to be pruned back so harshly.

And it was a lovely day with sunshine. I kept to the cycle paths and shared-use paths nearly all the way, so I didn't get into the deep woods but it was still great to be out in the sun.
