Home mid morning from the overnighter at work and as the weather wasn't really so awful I got layered up and took mesen out on the bike for some road miles. It was the kind of ride that I used to do all the time up 'til about six months ago, but I've hardly been out recently and I'm obviously a bit out of practice. I enjoyed been out for sure but I'm not sure I could have done much more today. Enough was certainly enough.

Ordered a couple of books yesterday with my ever dwindling Christmas money from my folks and they were sitting on the kitchen table when I came in off the bike. Paul Morley's 'From Manchester With Love' is more or less the size of a house brick, Warren Ellis' 'Nina Simone's Gum'' looks a little more manageable. So far this year I'm doing alright with the reading.....more of that and less f**king around on the internet, that's me for 2022. Well, January anyways.
