Lago Grey, Torres del Paine National Park, Chile

15 years to the day since we were in Chile so it was appropriate to take in "The World's Edge" exhibition at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.  Thomas Joshua Cooper is a photographer and Professor in Fine Arts at Glasgow School of Art.   He took the fabulously atmosphermic mono photos of freezing foaming scenes at the most extreme points around the Atlantic Ocean - I was reminded of our trip to Chile and Argentina.  Amazingly he used a 19th century wooden camera and takes only one shot from each place!

We carried onto the National Library of Scotland for their "Petticoats and Pinnacles" exhibition about Scottish women mountaineers.

To round off the day we meet up with our pals J & D to celebrate her birthday at Vittorias.
