Thistles

We went out this morning to spray Scotch thistles. There were none on the property until a few years ago but some must have come in with a load of hay as they are appearing here and there.
Mr isbi asked me to mention that, being of that heritage, he likes everything Scottish (particularly their whisky) except their bloody thistles.

After saying to AnnieBelle yesterday that I don't often see dragonflies, I spotted one skimming across the dam. I had the 60mm lens on but was too far away for a macro but thought this (extra) came out well taken at the long focal length. It is very heavily cropped.
