Autumn Has Arrived!

I was hoping to blip the snow covered mountains today. I saw the lower slopes briefly, but the clouds have not lifted all day. Instead I have only these Fuchsia flowers. They are looking rather pristine to me because it has been so cold that the scores of bumblebees that cover the bush from dawn to dusk have not appeared.

Yesterday's rain, which amounted to 19 mm, really cooled things down. It kept me awake for hours in the night. I had to turn my electric blanket on. Maybe time to swap my summer duvet with the winter one.
