Frozen

Here we are…. In the cold snap as promised. It’s been BRUTAL for the past couple of days. The thermometer says -4 but the feels like temperature is much much colder. The decks have been popping and snapping due to the wood freezing. The ice from this weekend? Oh yeah, that’s not going away soon. It’s like buffed smooth concrete! The poor dog has been out very minimally and I appreciate his quick potty breaks. His paws will freeze if he takes any longer than a couple of minutes.

I’m fortunate to be home during these colder days as I’ve been keeping the fire going. It is a blessing to have an abundance to keep us warm. I complain about doing wood in the Fall, but days like today make it all worth it.
