Hello again

Good to see you, little dried sprigs. For something that's been buried since last year, you look pretty spry. More snow pack bit the dust, then sleet and rain took care of yet another layer. It is remarkable that four foot piles of snow can disappear in two weeks.

For monkey movie night there were buttered noodles, peas, pound cake with strawberries and cream and then a request for popcorn was made. Really? And what cavity do you plan to stuff that in?

Prior to the wonderfullness of sitting around with snugglebunnies on our laps, I baked. And baked and baked and baked.

The dessert trio sampler platter I am bringing for 'Tropical' neighborhood ladies night tomorrow will be graced with tiny, square hummingbird cakes, frosted with white chocolate ganache and whipped cream. Alongside them will reside delicate, creamy triangles of coconut/lemon cheesecake, topped with sliced kiwi fruit and glazed lightly with apricot jam. To complete the trio will be a crunchy sugar cookie with ground macadamia nuts, a small dollop of pomegranate jam in the center and a squizzle of melted white chocolate.

A lot of margaritas will be needed to get all that down.
