Waxing gibbous moon

The weather today was a bit of a teaser. One minute it seemed quite bright, verging on sunny; the next, the rain was pouring down, yet again. So, another day suitable for pottering; I could get quite used to this.
Yet again I had arrived at 4.30pm without a Blip and the sun had long sunk behind the hill. Then I looked up and saw the moon, 238 855 miles beyond the trees and my blip was fait accompli. Do you know, if you drove a car from the earth to the moon at an average speed of 60 miles per hour it would take you just under six months to arrive?
