Winter riverside

Between showers today I went for a two mile brisk walk without the dogs. (you really can’t do ‘brisk’ if the dog/s need to be on leads but want to stop and sniff every lamp-post or blade of grass!)
This little river looks a bit dull and empty but there was a bird somewhere singing its heart out - no idea what it was, it was in the reeds, I could hear it but not see it, just the reeds moving.
