The Time Is....

Thought I might have gone out today for today's photo, but the dreary wet weather continued with the sun making quick guest appearances.   I could not get inspired to go travelling in the misty rain...you know the kind that if you stand in it for a several minutes, yoy feel as wet as you would in a downpour, but as I walked in with the morning coffee, wondering what I could photograph, my eyes homed in on the carriage clock sitting on the mantelpiece.  

I decided I would leave taking the photo until there was a smattering of sunlight available although I did reposition the clock to get a decent angle on the wood and when the sun eventually came, albeit briefly, I quickly took the shot.  However, I felt it needed something adding so I introduced a textured filter to give the photo an old type of look.
