Goldfinch

There were so many lovely potential bird blips today. Chaffinches, bullfinches, flying swans, a cheery robin posing beautifully. The choice though has to be the goldfinch. They've been missing from the garden for so long. I finally got round to buying niger seed and a feeder and to my delight this goldfinch turned up this morning.

Such a lovely day of winter sunshine. Lots of garden work to tackle this afternoon. The new shed was delivered on schedule yesterday. The guys were so nice and included my two year old grandson in carrying bits and pieces for them. They also offered him a shot of the drill but, sensible lad, he declined. What a relief.
