Rhododendron

Rhododendron is a Greek world, meaning "rose tree". One of the few shrubs that can compete with roses, when it comes to the beauty of the flowers. We have had rhododendron in flower here in the village since before Christmas, but now the real season begins. The one showed here has quite unusual colour. The bumblebees love the flowers, and one was foraging here when I took the photo. However, it moved around too fast for me to get a shot of it.
