The Red Burn just downstream from Loch Caoldair.

L resumed work after his festive break from his Roy Bridge office and today he was returning to Aberdeen. The entire journey by public transport is unviable but he gets back quickly if we drop him at the Dalwhinnie railway station. We can drive to Dalwhinnie in 50 minutes. To get there by public transport would probably take 6 or 7 hours.

We had the dogs with us and on the return there was enough time for a tramp up to Loch Coaldair.

Couple of extras

Earlier in the day, while reassembling the dog cage in the boot, I felt a little twinge in my back probably triggered by the washing machine antics on Thursday. I hope it doesn't last.
