Sunbed

It may look as though our dear blind Jerry is preparing to do his business in this tray of sawdust,  but no, it has become his soft cosy bed for lying in on sunny days. It has never been used as a cat toilet, and we had simply filled it with sawdust from firewood sawing in order to dry it before using on the fire.

Being totally blind now, he doesn't trust himself to jump up on the various 'beds' on the terrace and has now declared this as his own. I am amazed at ´how he gets about so well, including his daily patrol of ditches and hedges looking for mice and birds. The birds are safe but from time to time he still catches the odd mouse, presumably simply through sound and sense.
