Danger danger

This massive sugar gum (not endemic to our part of South Australia) was planted sometime in the middle of the 19th Century.   It's leaning, and this massive branch is adding to the weight.  The problem is that the branch is directly over over newly installed and very expensive toilet block.

The Director of Operations has decreed that the branch must be cut back - no doubt because he doesn't wanted to see $100,000 worth of infrastructure damaged in the next storm.

There is plus side however.  One of our talented volunteers is going to make us a lectern for speeches and stuff, and he has an eye on the timber so he can use it in the construction.
