Friends, Family, and Fun

Tonight was the Surprise Celebration Dinner for Nick who graduated Wednesday from the Crafton Hills Fire Academy. Hooray for Nick!

Friends and family gathered in a wonderful backyard celebration where we all had lots of fun celebrating Nick's victory. After enjoying a wonderful meal of garden salad, lasagna, spaghetti, garlic bread, and cake for dessert, we watched as Nick opened gifts and spoke about some of the challenges of the 12-week academy. It was lots of fun, but more than that, it was meaningful to mark this poignant moment with Nick, who is following in the footsteps of his dad, who passed away several years ago.

Nick and his wife, Elizabeth, are about to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary. Their daughter, Kara, will have her first birthday the end of this month, and I am excited that they have become part of this Blipfoto family. Take a look at their page, and welcome them to blipfoto.

All of Liz & Nick's family are wonderful friends of ours and much of the time they seem more like family than friends. We love them all.

What a wonderful beginning to this celebration month. May is one of our favorite months, but then I can't think of a month that we don't like and one where we can't find something to celebrate. We love to celebrate!
