Lapwing

I've only ever seen Lapwings doing one of two things ..... standing like statues or flying from A to B. I've never seen them feeding, sitting on the grass or snoozing.

There used to be quite a large number up at the Heritage Park but for the last couple of years I have only seen four appearing in the late autumn and staying till very early spring.

Alarm is set for 5.45 tomorrow morning. I'll collect my pal about half past six and have her at the hospital by half seven.
I have no idea what the rules are about visiting but I'll find out when I drop her off.
