Plough Sunday

We had a different start to our church service this morning in Northleach.  Today is known as Plough Sunday which marks the beginning of the agricultural year and there was a procession through the town to the market square where the ploughs and tractors were blessed by the Bishop of Tewkesbury.  You can see him here, walking down the main street following the Crucifer, aka Mr Sk!

Bishop Robert then blessed the tractors by sprinkling holy water on them, with the servers and choir following behind him. You can just make me out behind Mr Sk's right shoulder in extras.  After this short ceremony everyone went up to the church for the service.
