Outclassed

Sometimes you just have to hold up your hands and admit you were outclassed by a better team. That was certainly the case this evening at Huish Park where Yeovil were comfortably beaten 3-1 by Bournemouth in the FA Cup 3rd Round.

Bournemouth are top of the Championship at the moment and, although they played a team largely made up of youngsters and squad players, they were very quick, passed the ball accurately and kept possession so well that we were largely living off scraps. Still, you couldn’t fault the team’s spirit and effort, it was an entertaining game, a great atmosphere and our largest crowd in ages of nearly 8000 so a good pay day for the club, especially as it was televised.

Apart from that, it was a day of incessant rain, meaning Park Run was cancelled due to a waterlogged course.
