Quiet Joy

Strava Day 223/75 Hard Phase 2 Day 11.

All tasks done. Active recovery day spent doing briskwalking, hiking and yoga.

Breaking #555photoseries to share a lovely moment with T captured by B earlier on our way to Kagiskan Summit. It is our second time here.

First time, T was a little disappointed that he did not get to bring home the Queen Ant that he found. This time he was still not able to bring home any ants for his ant farm but was happier that he got to go "outside."
***
Funniest thing/scene today was T rushing to announce during breakfast: Look! It's a male ant preparing to die peacefully.
Told him while laughing that if that is so then he just disturbed its peace.

Enjoying the last few chapters/philosopher features by Ryan Holiday in Lives of the Stoics. Am an instant fan of both Musonius Rufus and Marcus Aurelius after reading what they wrote.

Musonius Rufus: Do not be irked by difficult circumstances but reflect on how many things have already happened to you in life in ways that you did not wish, and yet they have turned out for the best.

Marcus Aurelius: When you need encouragement, think of the qualities the people around you have: this one's energy, that one's modesty, another's generosity and so on. Nothing is as encouraging as when virtues are visibly embodied in the people around us, when we're practically showered with them.

Title is what I was feeling but upon a quick Google search it apparently is essential to humans: It is the time after doing something that you love, in which you feel proud...in which you feel satisfied...which allows your heart to sing. It is a time when your heart splits open and wants to quietly hug the world.

Hope you are having a good one :) Gratitude and light.
