Waterloo

Plan was to check out the recently reopened Alexandria Hotel’s beer garden, but it wasn’t actually open. Instead it was the Cauliflower (extra), an old pub on unlovely Botany Rd and associated - in my mind, at least - with 1970s career criminals and corrupt cops. It’s been tarted up, upstairs was airy and light, the footpath drinking almost - but perhaps not quite - Parisian.

The main is part of a new development nearby.
