Dialysis

I’ve been on home kidney dialysis for over a year. Requires a nightly 9 hour session with a bit of work cleaning and setting up the dialysis machine during the day. I rarely get and full nights sleep and have had a few ups and downs in the treatment thus far. However I get a lot of support from my wife and son and the NHS community dialysis team at the RI Edinburgh have been wonderful.

A few opportunities for a live transplant have fallen through for various reasons but I’ve been on the National Transplant Register for two years so hopefully 2022 will be my year.
