Spikes by the road

Not sure why this road has been lined with wooden spikes. Still, I locked the doors on the car as I drove though, just in case.

The second image I took whilst walking the dogs. I thought I would explore a few backstreets at night as I am getting pretty bored of the city centre for shots and need to explore some different areas for a change.
