No water, plenty of mud

When the rain stopped at lunchtime we went for a short walk along the river at Sedgwick (water flowing rapidly and forcefully, footpath muddy and slippery) and back along the Kendal-Lancaster canal (the disused part, with a very different scenic quality); we left ourselves time to call on friends for a cup of tea too.
