This Bird Has Flown :-(

Literally. Daughter#2 is back in Germany now, courtesy of Lufthansa. It was a flying visit but it was so lovely to see her again, and to manage to meet up with her sister and her nephews.

As she boarded the plane she got an email saying her 2 day UK PCR test had now been received by the lab (we posted it on Wednesday) and she should get the result within 24 hours. Better late than never I suppose.

The airport was quite a bit busier today, but still very quiet compared with pre pandemic levels.

We just had a message to say she will probably miss her connecting train from Frankfurt to Munich. Her flight was late and there is a queue at passport control which she could have avoided if we were still in the EU :-(

In other news we've finished taking the decorations down now. I took the wreath off the front door and extracted these feathers.
